VP of Business Development and CIO are named among 40 of the housing industry's most elite women of influence
hief Information Officer Erika Lance and VP of Business Development Debbie Lastoria were chosen among the housing industry's elite group of women who are shaping and creating the future of the housing industry.
This is Erika's second distinguished recognition this month, she is also featured as a Leading Lady in Housing in The MReport.
These two powerhouses are responsible for the creation and implementation of many of NTC's innovative business and technology solutions.
“The 2015 Women of Influence are innovative leaders who are changing the way the housing economy functions. From developing better processes and solutions to driving legislative change, these women are having a far-reaching impact on the U.S. mortgage market,” Sarah Wheeler, HousingWire Magazine Editor, said in a release. “The caliber of the nominations we received this year was really stunning. Women are leading in every sector of the housing economy, and the women we recognized this year had to compete against a formidable roster of executives who are not only excelling in their respective companies, but influencing people and processes throughout our industry.”
As Chief Information Officer at the leading post-closing services provider for the residential mortgage industry, Erika holds a position that has typically been held in most industries by male executives. Only 20% of CIO jobs at Fortune 250 companies were held by women in 2012, even though 57% percent of occupations in the workforce are held by women.
Prior to her promotion, Erika served in other management positions at NTC, allowing her to gain the experience necessary to take over her current role in the company. Lance has worked in Human Resources, the legal department, client relations and overall organization within NTC, giving her a thorough understanding of both operational and client needs.
According to NTC CEO John Hillman:
“The programs that Erika has developed here at NTC have helped shape the industry and set the standards by which companies in our space are now measured. The training and technology products she has developed are used regularly by some of the nation’s largest lenders and servicers.”
Similarly, VP of Business Development Debbie Lastoria has been a key player in defining industry standards and best practices using her 31 years of experience that started as a loan servicer back in 1984.
Hillman states, "Extending this experience to her current position; she has been a major driving force in establishing Nationwide Title Clearing’s identity as a top service provider in the mortgage industry and one of the biggest contributing causes for NTC’s 300% revenue growth since she started.”
Lastoria was a driving force for a number of NTC’s recent product innovations, including the Assignment Verification Report, Collateral Review and Remediation Service, Exception Curative Services, Default Assignment Services, Customized Property Report Solutions and the Custody Solutions Service.
"Her passion for understanding and communicating all industry trends & regulatory requirements challenges her to understand the impact to her clients and NTC at the same time so that new solutions can be identified while old services are compliant from all aspects and on all levels. For example, she was the first team member to identify the overall impact of the Third Party Oversight requirements which enabled NTC to stay ahead of the curve on this industry-wide issue," said Hillman.
Congratulations to these two rock stars at NTC, we are so proud of them.
