Continuing with the company's mission of corporate social responsibility, volunteers from NTC helped ensure that the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce 40th Annual Harbor Art and Seafood Festival was a success.
(Palm Harbor, FL) January 30, 2015 – In a study conducted by the University of California, researchers found students with high arts involvement performed better on standardized achievement tests than students with low arts involvement. This indicates that what students learn in the arts may help them master other subjects such as reading, math, or social studies (1). In response to the reported benefits of art on a child’s overall academic success, as well as part of a continued corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort, Palm Harbor-based NTC (Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc.) NTC volunteered at the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce 20th Annual Harbor Art and Seafood Festival. On December 6 and 7, 2014, NTC staff put in a total of 24 volunteer hours during the two-day event by providing art related activities for children through the children’s art tent.
