(Palm Harbor, FL) June 8, 2018 – Team members of Nationwide Title Clearing (NTC), the leading post-closing services provider for the nation’s largest financial institutions, investors and servicers, volunteered 247 hours of community outreach from January to May of 2018. NTC has been heavily involved with non-profit organizations in the Tampa Bay area such as The Humane Society of Pinellas, The Ronald McDonald House, The Habitat for Humanity Pinellas and Feeding Tampa Bay in a five-month period.
Community involvement and providing support for worthy causes are core to the culture at Nationwide Title Clearing. The company supports employees in their charitable efforts and participates in many events each year.
“For businesses, it is so important that we support our community and NTC does much more than just donate,” said Santa Sorrentino, Marketing Director at NTC. “NTC’s culture is to contribute by volunteering, reaching out, donating and helping out anyway that isn’t expected. I love that as a company, we can truly make a difference in our community and help those who need it the most. That is what makes our company so unique and special.”
NTC team members collected 29 pints of blood that impacted over 80 lives for their annual OneBlood drive at the Palm Harbor, FL office in January. Carter BloodCare collected blood at the Dallas, TX office in February where NTC members donated 17 pints of blood.
“With my blood type, I can not only donate blood, but donate plasma as well. It’s always a wonderful feeling donating and knowing that it’ll help someone out there no matter how much of an impact it makes,” said Derek Temple, Creative Director at NTC.
NTC sponsors and supports their furry friends at the Humane Society of Pinellas in several events and donations throughout the year. The company has sponsored the 2018 Pet Fest in February and the organizations annual Bark in the Park in April. Team NTC contributed once more in May and collected animal food for the Humane Society of Pinellas for their Senior Pet Connection.
NTC team members cooked and served food for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House East in St. Petersburg, FL in March. The Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a home away from home for families of pediatric patients receiving treatment in area hospitals. The company sponsored their annual Storybook Ball Gala. This is NTC’s fifth time volunteering of making meals for families staying at the house.
In April, NTC team members volunteered to help build a home for a family with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas in Clearwater, FL and sponsored the organization’s Blueprint Gala. The company has volunteered and sponsored a home build to support the organization for five years.
“It breaks our hearts that families have to witness their children being in the hospital or battling a sickness. That is why NTC is a big supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities,” said Sorrentino. “We volunteer to make several meals throughout the year and we donate around the holidays, too; we help out any way we can because it is simply the right thing to do.”
Most recently, in May, NTC team members came together and collected over 500 boxes of cereal items for children this Summer. As many children go hungry during the Summer break, WTSP Channel 10 News partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay and the rest of the community to collect breakfast for families in need. This is NTC’s third year in supporting this cause to help those who are food deprived in the Tampa Bay area. NTC’s CEO, John Hillman, is passionate about this donation drive, and continues to make it even more successful every year and volunteers to deliver the boxes himself every year.
“A spirit of giving isn’t just something nice to do. It should be part of the culture and every fabric of any company. It gives us a tremendous sense of pride knowing we’re consistently helping in a big way,” said Hillman.
