Nationwide Title Clearing recently launched a new online feature, FraudCheck Secure Document Verification service. This new feature provides added security to check for and prevent fraudulent releases.
All lien release documents prepared by NTC since 1992 include a unique document identification code. Anyone seeking to verify the authenticity of a document and to confirm that Nationwide Title Clearing in fact prepared it can easily use this FraudCheck system. The document identification code is entered into the FraudCheck system and a confirmation immediately is displayed on the screen if it matches our database. If the document doesn't match the NTC system, or if there is no code on the document it can be reported to NTC as potentially fraudulent and investigated.
Nationwide Title Clearing has a database of millions of lien releases that have been prepared since 1992. All documents prepared after the launch of this new site will also include the website link and instructions to verify authenticity. Cases of fraud are at an all time high. Being protected and having some recourse to verify the authenticity is more important than ever before. This is a value added service for NTC clients and is provided for no additional fee.
